Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Area (MS4)

The first step in the Georgetown County Land Disturbance Permitting Process is to determine if you need a permit.

The second step in the Georgetown County Land Disturbance Permitting Process if your project is located inside or outside of the Georgetown County MS4 Area. The Urbanized Area Map below delineates the Georgetown County MS4 area, located in Murrells Inlet, SC. As a quick reference, if your project’s tax map number starts with 41- then your project is located in the Georgetown County MS4 Area.  Please use the appropriate flow charts, “Inside the MS4 Area or Outside the MS4 Area”,  to guide you through the permitting process for a Georgetown County Land Disturbance Permit.
